Mill Stream Bible Camp & Retreat Centre is committed to developing future leaders. Our skilled trainers will train leaders, staff and volunteers in time tested techniques that will make teaching children rewarding and joyful. Our LTP Camp is designed to help young teens discover their leadership skills and develop their leadership characteristics.

Leadership Training Program

Stretch yourself this summer and apply for LTP Week!

Experience new challenges through hands-on leadership training, discover your God-given personal gifts and skills, encounter new opportunities to trust God and enjoy meeting new friends while having fun times of learning and leading.

The Leadership Training Program (LTP) is held at Mill Stream Bible Camp for one week each summer. It is for teens who have completed Grade 8 and combines unique challenges in leadership training with a practical “laboratory camp experience”! You must apply for this program, which is limited to 10 participants for the week.

LTP teaches the principles of Godly servant-leadership to prepare you for future leadership and service opportunities in your church, school and community. You will gain real, practical experience by working directly with campers and helping in numerous aspects of the camp’s operations.

Summer Staff

​Developing Youth Professionals!

Every summer Mill Stream hires individuals into positions ranging from running the program, maintenance, and housekeeping, to cleaning the dining hall, and leading cabins. We view our staff as missionaries, serving the Lord in these important roles.

All of our summer staff partake in a week of intense training that teaches and develops the skills needed to provide individually focused care for each of our campers.

The most important part of any child’s experience at camp is the relationship between our staff and each child. That is where Mill Stream staff shine. Their camper focused training equips them to get to know each camper as an individual, and build those relationships that will last well beyond the summer.

The minimum age to work at Mill Stream is 15 years old. Positions at this age include maintenance, housekeeping and dining hall duties. Cabin Leader opportunities and Cabin Leaders in Training begin at age 16.

A sample list of duties and responsibilities is available upon request. Your specific duties will be assigned to you during our pre-camp training.

All staff are required to attend pre-camp training during the first week of July (Adult staff unable to attend the full week of pre-camp must make an effort to attend a full Saturday orientation session in June.)

You are required to complete the camp staff application – PDF version (click below for online application), in full, by May 15.

Students accepted to serve will be expected to attend 1 training week and work all of the 4 1/2 weeks of encampments in July and August. Additional weeks of opportunity may be available.

Volunteering

​Mill Stream could not operate with all of the dedicated volunteers who give of their time and energy to make their camp a better place. We have numerous opportunities for people of different interests and abilities to volunteer, either in the summer or throughout the year. We know that you will be blessed by your time here, and we can’t wait to see you!
